Red Hat is a rapidly growing company supporting more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies.   The Red Hat team is looking for a Senior Technical Solutions Architect to join us as part of the Australia and New Zealand Solution (ANZ) Practice, based in either Sydney or Melbourne, Australia. Working in the pre-sales phase closely with some of our key customers and partners, this role centres on guiding adoption and integration of Red Hat''s solutions portfolio as the preferred choice for SAP S/4HANA and SAP Leonardo solutions. You''ll serve as a trusted advisor and primary technical point of contact for customers and partners that consume and service Red Hat''s SAP solutions, working with account teams and Red Hat''s product engineering teams to shape our future offerings. To succeed you''ll need excellent technical skills in both SAP offerings and cloud computing, as well as customer-facing skills to effectively represent Red Hat to key customers, partners, developers, and architects. Whilst this role is SAP infrastructure and technical solution focused, you''ll need to be able to think strategically about business challenges and potential solutions, and to identify the underlying technical challenges. As a Senior Technical Solutions Architect, you''ll need to have significant direct experience delivering major SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA infrastructure migration projects over on-premise, public, or hybrid cloud environments. You''ll be expected to apply your experience as a trusted advisor working with our clients directly or with our partners, specializing in the design and deployment or migration of Red Hat SAP solutions. The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.  

• Lead SAP-related technical presales engagement activities to guide the adoption and integration of Red Hat''s solutions and services portfolios for SAP by delivering discovery workshops, training and mentoring
• Collaborate with the sales teams and partners to position, win, and support strategic SAP projects, incorporating Red Hat''s offerings and services
• Be an ANZ Subject Matter Expert for Red Hat SAP solutions through providing expertise on how to automate the migration, deployment, operation and management of SAP solutions either on-premise or over the premier public cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
• Guide the adoption and integration of Red Hat''s tools, methodologies, and frameworks for application development and modernisation, containerization, and microservices architectures
• Advise on how SAP migration projects are structured from a technical perspective and the technical best practices that should be used to ensure low risk, predictable, on-time delivery
• Contribute to Red Hat''s strategy and understanding of the SAP market
• Educate internal and external stakeholders in the latest SAP technology portfolio including SAP S/4HANA, Digital Core, Fiori, and Leonardo offerings, and more traditional on-premise SAP R/3 solutions

 

• Advisory or consultant background serving as a trusted advisor
• Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform at the technical system architecture level
• Demonstrable expertise and experience in architecture, deployment, and operation of infrastructure components and systems relating to SAP deployments like database and RDBMS (SAP BASIS and in-memory), operating systems like UNIX, Windows, and Linux, and virtualization tools including VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Red Hat Virtualization
• Solid understanding of SAP NetWeaver Application Server (ASCS), advanced business application programming (ABAP), Java Application Server (SCS) and SAP HANA database system architectures
• Previous experience with SAP implementation and migration projects in either a technical presales or delivery capacity
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt your messaging and content to various types and levels of audience
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
• Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders with diverse views
• Excellent presentation, moderation and teaching skills
• Ability to adjust to different audiences, from developer, to CIO, to line of business to board level
• Track record of acting as a multiplier and sharing project learnings with peers
