Wanted is an administrative clerk for a male-dominated environment. The candidate has to have impeccable references and must be able to work under serious pressure.
Duties of a Secretary or Administration Clerk
Compiling, maintaining and updating company records
Receiving phone calls, calling, minutes writing and executive diary management
Prepare, send and store invoices
Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, statutory obligations and third-party vendors
Petty cash management and bank deposits and reconciliations
Payments processing and reconciliations
Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
Assisting on financial statements preparation
Report status of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Payroll administration, submit tax returns and other statutory returns
Assisting in operations administration and being in charge in the absence of the GM
Operating office equipment including printers, copiers and multimedia instruments
Qualifications and qualities
- Self-starter, loyal, honest, dedicated and be able to command authority and represent company.
- Excellent administrative skills
- At least diploma in administration, accounting or business studies, or studying towards the qualification backed up by requisite experience
- At least one year of post-graduate experience
- Driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping or transport logistics an added advantage
- Strong experience with Microsoft office especially excel advanced formulas
- Preference will be given to candidates residing near Ruwa.
