A South African Mining Contractor with new projects in Zimbabwe is looking for the following professionals to join the company on long term contracts.


Industrial Relations Manager


Duties


  • Responsible for maintenance of sound industrial relations. Advise the organisation on best labour practices. Advice on the operation of industrial agreements
  • Negotiate rates of pay and conditions of employment on behalf of employees and employers
  • Develop and administer policies on different employee classifications and wage structures
  • Maintain or assist in developing good relationships between employers and employees
  • Advice on and negotiating in enterprise-based agreements
  • Conduct research relating to industrial relations, such as how changes in work practices affect productivity


Requirements


 , Bachelor of Science, in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology or any other behavioural science.

 Diploma in Industrial relations (IPMZ)

 10 years experience in senior management or similar role

 Mining experience would be an added advantage

 Clean class 4 driver license

Safety Coordinator


Duties


  • Capturing SHEQ data into the SHEQ Database.
  • Generating SHEQ Reports.
  • Maintenance of the SHEQ Management system documentation (ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001) Responsible for assessing the health and safety standards in our workplace.
  • Responsible for educating employees on how to follow health and safety protocols more closely.
  • Responsible for a methodical approach to improving health and safety standards.
  • Monitor staff to evaluate if health and safety laws are being followed.
  • Assess equipment and machinery to gauge if they are in safe, working order.
  • Investigate on-site accidents. Create plans to improve health and safety in the workplace.
  • Educate staff on health and safety protocols.
  • Prepare reports for management.


Qualifications:


  • Degree in Safety/Health/Environment Management
  • Relevant SHE Short-Course Certificates (NEBOSH, NOSA-Auditors, SAMTRAC,
  • SHATCOR/OHSMAC, ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 Management system)
  • 10 years’ experience in a related role Mining experience is a plus
