Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a not for profit human development organisation which is registered as a Trust under the Zimbabwe Deeds Registries Act (Chapter 20:05). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high impact integrated health interventions with local communities while working with and strengthening existing institutions.

Basic Function


Working under the supervision of the Provincial Administrative Assistant, the Administrative Intern’s primary role will be to support the Administration department with manning the reception and developing a filing system (for both electronic files and hard copy files).

Job Description

  • Work closely with the Admin Officer to ensure smooth operation of all administrative matters;
  • Answering calls and directing to respective staff members;
  • Assist with minute taking during weekly meetings;
  • Assist in sourcing of quotations;
  • Assist in filing of supporting documents/invoices linked to administration;
  • Assist in maintaining an updated and easily accessible hard copy and Electronic Admin Office Filing System;
  • Assist with payment processing;
  • Assist in receiving of purchased goods and distributing them to user departments and provinces;
  • Any other administrative duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of general office practices, procurement, maintenance and administrative procedures;
  • Report to supervisor on variances and status on regular basis;
  • Resourceful in gathering and providing information;
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organization skills;
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, and recipients of assistance;
  • Well-developed computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft office products.

Qualifications and experience

  • BAcc/BCom/BTech Degree in Business Administration or its recognized equivalent.
  • At least a year of work-related learning experience.
