Program Facilitator - SIDA-Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) program: Chiredzi


Reporting to the Project Manager, this job is needed in order to provide leadership and facilitation at district level in their implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the SIDA Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) project in order to achieve set objectives and targets of the project in the district.


Accountabilities:


Identifies and trains community based mentors and Case Care Workers(CCWs) on gender and

protection using the Champion of Change (CoC) model.


Registers households for the project and tracks their participation in the COC and family clubs.

Coordinates with other NGO partners for joint targeting, inclusive delivery of SRHR and SGBV information and layered services to adolescents and parents.

Integrates child safeguarding and gender equality and inclusion considerations within project activities at district level.

Conducts regular monitoring of mentors and CCW activities, providing technical support to the community based cadres.

Facilitates community dialogues to address harmful social and cultural norms as well as community level trainings.

Liases with ad supports community volunteers, including Case Care Workers to ensure SGBV survivors access time sensitive response services, in line with existing protocols and standards.

Child Protection & gender equality mainstreaming


Promotes and abides by Plan policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality mainstreaming, Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities.

Coordination and networking


Support and participate in district children and youth related partnership activities, alliances and networks.

Monitoring and Evaluation


Support collection and analysis of project data

Knowledge:


A degree in Social science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute.

A minimum 3 years relevant work experience at similar level in Gender, Child Rights and or Adolescent, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights programming.

Understanding of social norms and their influence on behavior, attitudes and practices.

An understanding of Community development work.

Ability and willingness to ride a motorbike.
