Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance and supervision of the Procurement Manager, the incumbent will be expected to:

- Receiving requests from the user departments and make the necessary checks;


- Conducting market analysis to determine the value of the items;


- Determining the procurement method according to the Public Procurement and Disposal Act No.5/2017;


- Preparation of tender documents and distribute to prospective bidders;


- Following the bidding timelines as prescribed by the Act;


- Facilitating the submission of bidding documents by bidders;


- Facilitating the tender opening process;


- Keeping records of tenders;


- Attending to queries and communication between the Unit and Clients;


- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Accounting Officer through the Procurement Manager.

Work/Educational Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Attributes

- A Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from a reputable institution


- Level 4 in Purchasing & Supply. CIPS, would be an added advantage


- At least two years relevant working experience


- Good organisational and record keeping skills and a sound knowledge of procurement procedures in public entities

Computer literacy.
