Your contribution;

• Be available to answer clients’ basic questions.

• Assists other clients face challenging life situations or circumstances that are similar to their own by conducting

one-on-one counselling sessions or group sessions.

• Familiarises with the context of their clients’ lives in order to better help them.

• Works at the clinic and conducts home visits for clients who miss clinic appointments.

• Assists program staff by communicating with clients about issues that may be affecting their HIV prevention and

treatment and act as a bridge between the clients and the IHC Nurse.

• Supports clients to practice healthy behaviors that promotes prevention and treatment success.

• Assists in linking clients to community support services, such as support groups.


What are we looking for?

• HIV-negative clients on PrEP receiving care at the PSI ART clinic for at least 6 months.

• Ability to work with professionals as part of the PSI ART team.

• Must demonstrate good adherence to PrEP and have sound knowledge on PrEP key information.

• Previous voluntary activities such as conducting counselling sessions, peer education, and advocacy will be an

added advantage. A certificate in counselling will be of added benefit.

• Reliable, friendly, and willing to help and support others.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people at all levels.

• Open-minded (non-judgmental).

• Have initiative and ability to work independently and seek guidance when necessary.

• Committed to working with others to improve HIV prevention and care.

• Be able to maintain strict confidentiality concerning information shared by clients and other peers
