DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC BUSINESS, MUSICOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY



Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (1 Post)


The candidate should have at least a master’s degree in music technology from a recognized university, a PhD will be an added advantage. The prospective candidate should possess:


Competences in the practices of record industry and sound reinforcement systems.

Ability to manage and operate live sound equipment for both digital and analogue

Ability to use a wide variety of software packages for music production,

Practical and theoretical understanding of the performative technologies,

Ability to record all sound on set or on location, do post-production- balancing, mixing, editing and enhancing recorded audio, and merging audio with video

Understanding of music business operations in the music industry
