HarvestPlus (www.harvestplus.org) improves nutrition and public health by developing and promoting biofortified food crops that are rich in vitamins and minerals and providing global leadership on biofortification evidence and technology. HarvestPlus is part of the CGIAR Research Program on Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH).

The MEL Intern will assist in the implementation of project M&E activities and assist in regular monitoring of the project deliverable and processes.


Position summary 


  • The MEL intern will be expected to: Participate in designing data collection tools, templates, and assist in regular data collection or generation process
  • Accurately enters data through the available offline and online database
  • Assists in data quality assessments and provides feedback to the M&E Officer
  • Organize files and ensure the security of data
  • Assists the ME officer in compiling quarterly reports; Any other duties falling within the scope of your expertise, as may be required.


Qualifications

  • The MEL intern: Should be working towards or recently completed a degree in Social Science, Statistics, Information Communication and Technology, M&E, Agriculture or any other related field
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Access and SPSS (or other statistical packages) an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
