POSITION: MARKETING OFFICER


JOB SUMMARY We are searching for a passionate Marketing Officer who will be responsible for planning and implementing all marketing strategies and activities of the company. You will be required to align the organization’s strategic and short-term marketing objectives with the company’s strategic and short-term goals. You will be fully accountable for the company’s meeting of its revenue, marketing, and growth goals.


Duties & Responsibilities


• Planning and implementing short-term and long-term marketing strategies for the company under the guidance of the Operations manager

• Time to time situation analysis to identify gaps such as the need for market and marketing research

• Ensuring that the organization is achieving its growth goals by assisting managers with New Product Development (NPD)/ and or New Markets Development planning and launching

• Closely work with the business development team and finance to determine viability of prospective markets

• Planning and implementing marketing campaigns and activities

• Plan and direct advertising and promotional campaigns for the company’s products and raise awareness for the company’s brands in the market

• Contribute to planning and execution of the company’s annual sales plan

• Attend and participate in marketing events to increase brand awareness

• Collaborating with managers in the preparation of budgets and monitoring expenses

• Planning and undertaking market research to keep managers posted on customers, prices, new products, competitors and competitor activities in the market

• Track and record all marketing activities, implement metrics to evaluate their success and amend marketing measures where necessary

• Recognize, study and assess market patterns, competitor offerings and demographics to develop a marketing strategy compatible with the current business environment

• Use research conclusions and analysis to determine the overall direction of upcoming marketing projects, new products/services and the overall strategy

• Handling the company’s PR issues as they arise Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a marketing officer or related role

• Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages

• Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with the ability to establish and maintain lasting professional business relationships

• Excellent communication skills, highly eloquent in English and Shona, and basic understanding of any other spoken languages

• Exemplary organizational and multitasking skills

• Creativity and commercial awareness

• Basic knowledge in computers and related technology devices

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field

• A post graduate certificate or diploma is an added advantage
