Main Job Purpose


To ensure the production and packaging of company products, according to the production plan and within company’s quality and safety standards, and in line with the business targets.


What You’ll Be Doing


We’re looking for an experienced Make Lead who will be based at our Harare factory. This person will ensure the efficient running of the factory through the implementation & maintenance of World Class manufacturing standards to ensure continuous improvement and high operational efficiencies.


Key Responsibilities

Championing World Class Manufacturing across all pillars.

Implementing production plans to ensure plans are met timeously & in full.

Ensuring adequate SHEQS standards, policies & procedures are upheld to meet company and local requirements.

Driving cost management & a cost conscious culture.

Driving implementation of future-fit development plans for team members & monitoring progress

Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure high service levels are maintained

Ensuring that plant repair and maintenance is carried out timeously & efficiently to reduce the impact of downtime

Ensuring sufficient & optimal manning for plant operations

Assisting in planning and implementation of plant trials to progress product innovations

Conducting root cause analysis to identify sources of waste, contamination and inefficiencies and taking appropriate actions to reduce these.

Ensuring that the Plant is maintained at high levels of Engineering, GMP and Safety standards.

Experience or qualifications required

BSc degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or comparable fields

+5 years of experience in FMCG

Experience with World Class Manufacturing

Solid financial acumen

Team leadership experience

Project management experience

Experience with SAP
