Logistics Driver: Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) Deadline: 19 January 2020 Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is one of the leading organizations working in mine action worldwide. 70 countries are affected by landmines, cluster munitions and other Explosive Remnants of War, NPA works in 28 of them. NPA is implementing a Humanitarian Disarmament Programme in Manicaland with offices in Mutare, Zimbabwe and is looking for dynamic people to join the organization.
Driving duties Driving motor vehicle for NPA errands; Transporting visitors and staff as assigned; Advise Logistics / Transport officer when vehicles are due for service; To keep assigned vehicles clean; General maintenance of assigned vehicles; Refueling of vehicles; Ensure logbooks are updated; Collect quotations as assigned by the Senior Logistics Officer; Ensure that NPA vehicles are used for NPA business unless otherwise authorized; Responsible for requesting and collecting, and acquittal of Logistics cash advance; Handing over purchased goods together with invoices and delivery notes to Logistics Assistant; May assume Logistics Assistant duties during the absence of the Logistics Assistant; Any other duties assigned. Qualifications A clean class four driver’s license; Defensive driver’s license; At least 5 ‘O’ passes including English; At least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment; NGO experience is a must; Good computer knowledge in excel and word processing; Certificate in Logistics and Transport Management is an added advantage; Good knowledge of Donor policies and regulations is an added advantage.
