About
The IRC is leading the implementation of a UNDP funded Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund (ZRBF) Program for Growth and Resilience (PROGRESS) Crisis Modifier 2 project in Beitbridge and Nyanga. One of the key outputs of the project is to train 20 Government Extension personnel from the two districts on Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS). In line with this, The IRC is seeking the services of a consultant who will conduct the LEGS training
Responsibilities
To produce a full set of materials/items/equipment required for the IRC to purchase 1 week before the training; To prepare all the relevant training material and conduct the training in 3 days; To deliver the 3-day LEGS Training using the agreed curriculum and materials; To provide each participant with photocopies of the training handouts, a copy of the LEGS Handbook (either in hard copy or a photocopy of the pdf which is also available on the LEGS website) and other training materials; To produce a detailed training report supported by registers
Qualifications
Have LEGS accreditation; Be a livestock and humanitarian specialist experienced in human and/or livestock emergencies; Experienced in participatory training techniques, adult learning principles and training practice sessions; Have traceable references
