1. LEGAL PRACTITIONER/CLINICIAN (2 POSTS)


Duties and Responsibilities

The Legal Practitioner will be a full time litigation lawyer for the Access to Justice Centre prepared to:


- Take instructions from clients;

- Attend to court and dispute resolution for and represent clients;

- Carry out all legal work allowed in the Law Clinic;

- Offer legal advice to the clients;

- Supervise students in all practical skills courses;

- Attend clinical tutorials for students as set by the relevant Consultants;

- Attend to Law Clinic outreach and mobile clinics;

- Do any other duties as assigned by the Director from time to time.

Work/Educational Requirements

Desired Qualifications and Attributes

- A good first Degree in Law from a recognized University.

- A Master’s Degree in Law or other relevant post graduate qualifications will be an added advantage;

- Registration with the Law Society of Zimbabwe;

- At least two (2) years of experience in private practice, litigating in the Magistrates, Labour Court, High Court, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court of Zimbabwe.

- Excellent communication and reporting skills;

- Proficiency in the use of Information and Communications Technology tools and e resources;
