Legal Coordinator: Family AIDS Caring Trust (FACT) Deadline: 13 December 2019 Reporting to: Program Manager – Safeguarding and Sustainable Livelihoods Work Station: Mutare Roles and Responsibilities Legal Coordinator will support the Faith and Communities Initiative through strengthening Justice for children system in Zimbabwe at Multiple levels. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Victim Friendly System capacity building programs, focusing on access to justice for children. The Legal Officer will be the communication link with various governmental and non-governmental organisations which implement Victim Friendly System in Zimbabwe, including the different service providers and actors within the justice system. Position directly works with the National Victim Friendly Systems Coordinator. Work closely with the Victim Friendly System Coordinator on strengthening the justice for children component. Facilitate training for such persons include police and other law enforcement officials; judges and magistrates, prosecutors, lawyers and administrators, probation officers on the revised Protocol on the Multi-sectoral Management of sexual violence and abuse in Zimbabwe. Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate must have a graduate degree in law, social work, or a related field and a minimum of five years professional experience working on setting up justice systems at a national level. The incumbent should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong project management skills. Candidate must also be able to work with various stakeholders, including supporting government bodies to reach minimum standards and advocate on steps required to adopt a comprehensive justice for children system. Case management experience with children at national level will be an added advantage.
