Description :

Applicants should be holders of an MSc and registered for a PhD in Exercise Science/ Sport Science or its equivalent with relevant content for the post.

The candidate should have at least 2 years’ work experience in an institution of higher education or a research institution.

The applicant must be able to teach any two sport speciality modules; and have recognised national, regional or international coaching qualifications.

Experience in the assessment of students and supervision of research projects in this area of specialisation, as well as curriculum development will be added advantages.

A PhD in the relevant field will also be an added advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and practical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Health, Leisure, Exercise and Sports Recreation, Motor Learning and Control and strength and conditioning in the Sport Science discipline.

Supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation will be expected.
