Under the supervision of the Programs Coordinator, the specialist conducts various types of strategic and impact lobby and advocacy initiatives and engagements, including desk and field engagements, and coordinating the membership of the institution. The specialist will facilitate various multi-level and multi-stakeholder training and advocacy meetings, locally and internationally. S/he will carry out intensive human rights policy research and analysis and will be expected to make presentations before various audiences. The specialist will be expected to design and implement high impact human rights projects, participate in all necessary capacity enhancement programmes for stakeholders and contribute to fundraising efforts to move the programme forward
