Almond Africa is looking for suitably qualified candidate to fill an opening within our company as an HSSEQ Coordinator: Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety/Environmental Science • ISO Certification and HACCP experience • Qualifications in security and quality are an added advantage • Clean class 4 driver’s license • Defensive Driving Certificate • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role • At least 3 traceable written references • ISO Certification and HACCP experience • Valid passport Desired Attributes: • Good leadership skills • Stringent quality standards • Efficient at prioritising • Good verbal and communication skills • Excellent report writing ability • Conscientious regarding compliance • Experience in the services industry is a plus The role: • Risk management • Development, maintain and review Integrated Management Systems • Create and maintain a safe and accident free working environment • Post incident investigation and analysis • Perform regular planned job observation and quality checks • Loss control • Compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements • Keep abreast with developments in HSSEQ practices • Promoting good health practices • Carry out ISO 9001, 14001, 22001, 45001 & HACCP certification and compliance • Registering chemicals with the Ministry of Agriculture • Conduct Trainings • Purchase, distribute and ensure correct use and maintenance of PPE • Monitor housekeeping and cleanliness within the workplace • Facilitate health and safety related certifications • Oversee related employee benefits such as funeral, medical and wellness membership • Chair quarterly HSSEQ Committee Meeting • Research, evaluate, monitor and report back on the company’s environmental impact • Lead zero waste to landfill initiative
