NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to engage a dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented professional to fill the critical and strategic role of Group Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization as well as lead a dedicated team of technical and management experts, sc that they drive business performance and achieve the desired organizational growth and revenue objectives. The incumbent will ‘report to the Board of Directors.


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS


The Group Chief Executive Officer is responsible for loading the development and execution of NctOnc’s business strategics with a view to creating shareholder value as well as all day-to-day management decisions for implementing the company’s long and short term plans. The Group CEO will also manage the interests of various stakeholders of the business in addition to the pursuit of growth, stability and profitability objectives.


PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES



To ensure that NetOne’s business plans, commercial operations and strategies are developed, reviewed, agreed upon and implemented to meet the goals set by the Board for growth and profitability:

Lead, in conjunction with the Board, the development of NetOne’s strategy to maximize shareholder value and enhance the positioning of the company;

Load and oversee the implementation of NetOne’s long and shod term plans in accordance with its strategy;

Monitor the external environment, regulatory and compliance dictates, read the market, anticipate change, assess the likely impact of change to the business: alert the Board to these and recommend appropriate responses:

Establish parameters for expanding the range of products and services and for introducing new technologies in the business;

Create conditions and processes to support and sustain change through balancing people, financial resources, technology and operations;

Assess the principal risks of the company and ensure that these risks are being monitored and managed;

Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place;

Ensure that the company has appropriate systems to enable it to conduct its activities both lawfully and ethically:

Review and report to the Board quarterly and annually the performance levels and progress with regards to the business plan, business activities, benchmarks, operating targets amongst other key performance indicators;

Ensure that the company develops sustainability strategies to ensure that it maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it does business;

Develop and foster healthy working relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally;

Promote and conduct the affairs of NetOne with the highest standards of integrity, probity and corporate governance.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


Must be a holder of a Business Studies, Administration, Finance, B.Sc. Information Systems. Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering degree or equivalent;

An MBA, MBL, M.Sc. IT Engineering or other relevant Master’s Degree is required;

Current membership of a relevant professional body,

A minimum of 10 years similar work experience, 8 years of which should have been at a senior managerial love;

Experience in the telecommunications sector would be an added advantage.

COMPETENCES



Must be an innovative and business-oriented person with a thorough grounding in business management and related dynamics:

Must have experience in developing, planning and implementing strategy;

Must have a thorough understanding of market trends and related dynamics and be able to advise the Board and Management accordingly;

Must be a dynamic leader with proven team leadership, change and conflict management skills;

Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills and must have proven experience in carrying out negotiations at high business levels;

Must have a proven track record of driving business growth in a substantial organisation;

Demonstrable ability to develop long term strategic relationships with key stakeholders;

A strong understanding of Corporate Governance standards, finance and performance management strategy.
