Our client, with mining operations in ZIMBABWE, are looking for a versatile, qualified and experienced General Manager for their mining operation. The purpose of the position would be to plan, organize and control all operations of the mine to ensure profitability and a fair return to shareholders.

Key Duties:

Plan and develop systems

Monitor and coordinate each functional activity

Offer technical / professional support to line managers

Ensure company policies, standards, rules and regulations and national laws governing the industry are followed and maintained.

Maintain contact with all relevant external bodies and service providers

Build and maintain a conducive organizational culture

Sustain effective employer-employee relationships

Carry out other duties as may be delegated by the Managing Director

Requirements:

Recognized degree in Mining, mineral processing, or geology

Minimum of 10 years’ experience and a similar level of management within a recognized mining house.

Technically savvy and have good financial acumen
