VACANCY FOR GENERAL MANAGER Applications are invited from suitably qualified personnel to fill in the position of General Manager and the successful candidate will be based in Harare Responsibilities • Lead formulation of Digital and Operational strategy in line with overarching business goals • Ensure business growth and improve leadership positioning • Ensure effective implementation of the strategy by providing direction, structure, frameworks, models, plans and roadmaps to be adopted by the company • Build and manage a high performing team through role clarity, training & career development • Ensure open communication channels with staff and implement change management • Monitor performance and alignment with the company’s global strategy as per industry best practices • Review performance against agreed KPIs and review service level agreements • Consolidate and support the planning and reporting processes - monthly forecasts, month-end, and annual budgets and reviews • Drive operating expense management • Have a strong grasp of modern technology and social media which is essential for the job • Have an expert understanding of spreadsheets, databases, financial analysis, website design, search engine optimization, and e-marketing strategy will be key • Have google analytics and other analytical software will be essential for tracking sales trends and making projections of future growth Key Competencies • Attitude of Innovation, inventiveness & thought leadership • Global mind-set to service worldwide operations • Digital Assets and Systems Development industry experience • Worked across diverse geographies • Should be a person of unquestionable integrity Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science • A Marketing qualification will be an added advantage. • Minimum 5 years’ experience at Senior Management level • Previous work experience and understanding of emerging technologies
