General Duty (GD) Soldier


Interested candidates should :


  • Be Aged between 18 – 22 years by 01 July 2022
  • Have a minimum of 5 O Levels passes with Grade C or better
  • Be physically fit
  • Be single
  • Have a minimum height of 1.68m for males and 1.55m for females
  • Weight not less than 57kgs for male candidates and 55 kgs for female candidates
  • Complete a 10km run in 45 minutes for males and 55 minutes for females
  • Potential candidates to indicate in their application letters, their body weight, height and last school attended including traceable references from the schools and place contact details
  • Recruits will undergo 6 months of Basic Military Training. They pass out as Private soldiers.

  • Be semi-skilled and skilled tradespeople of up to (Class One) Journeyman qualifications for technical personnel
  • Beholders of certificates, diplomas or any higher qualification in their field of speciality
  • Have a minimum height of 1.68m and weight of not less than 57 kgs for male candidates
  • Have a minimum height of 1.55m and weight of not less than 55kgs for female candidates
  • Potential candidates to state in their application letters, their body weight, height, last school attended including traceable references from the schools/colleges and place contact details
