Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post, in the Finance Department at Matanuska.



Reports to: Finance Director



Major Functions/Accountabilities:


Timeous preparation of consolidated management & statutory accounts, keeping to strict and set deadlines.

Compilation of monthly financial report pack and preparation of other financial reports as required by management.

Maintenance of correct and reliable accounting records to be used for decision making.

Maintenance of accounting records through a strong internal control environment within the company including periodic review for alignment to any changes in the environment.

Quick investigation of budget variances and ensuring that corrective action is taken to address the variances.

Key driver of budget and forecast processes for portfolios.

Compliance with relevant legislation and all statutory requirements of the business

General administration by overseeing the operations of the finance department, with clear goals and objectives to manage performance and productivity.

Supervision and mentorship of junior finance team members to ensure high quality financial support and a culture of delivering professional, responsive service in a customer orientated fashion.


Skills and Competencies:


Experience in FMCG / retail environment

Advanced ICT skills,

Analytical thinking & results focus,

Performance & Productivity Management,

Concern for order, quality, and internal control systems,

Excellent supervisory, leadership and mentoring skills,

Knowledge of ERP systems,

Excellent communication, presentation & technical skills,

Strong business knowledge and

Strong exposure to Accounting, Management Accounting and Reporting tools and techniques.

Excellent organizational and Organized and able to work independently.



Computer proficiency:




Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Power Point and experience with Sage Evolution.

Location:


Harare based, however incumbent may be expected to travel to other locations.


Experience:


Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an FMCG Agriculture / farming / manufacturing experience with at least 3 years at a senior level.

Various Costing model understanding.

Skilled in financial management, budgeting, internal controls, and auditing requirements.



Qualifications:


The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications.


Accounting degree or any related financial qualification.

CA (Z) /CIMA or studying towards a relevant professional qualification.

Excellent supervisory, leadership and mentoring skills.
