Deadline: 13 December 2019 Reports to: Program Manager – Safeguarding and Sustainable Livelihoods Station: Mutare Roles and responsibilities Faith and Communities Initiative Coordinator will support the Faith and Communities Initiative through ensuring the roll out of Evidence Based Interventions on sexual violence prevention among children within faith communities. A key responsibility of the FCI Coordinator will be to engage faith and community leaders and systems who can incorporate programing and policies to change the trajectory of violence against children in areas of high HIV burden. In addition this role will be the Child Safeguarding technical lead supporting the development and roll-out of policy, development of tools, strengthening capacity and learning, and improving the quality of our spaces and centres that children use, which are managed by our operational teams and partners. The incumbent will supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, providing regular and timely performance feedback, and leading documented semi-annual performance reviews. Ensure that all M&E tools are appropriately used, stored and backed-up. Ensure that all reporting requirements are compiled with in a timely and accurate manner. Strive to continuously develop and strengthen M&E mechanisms for the FCI teams. Qualifications and experience Post graduate qualification in a specialist technical or professional field relevant to role (e.g. Education, Social Work, Child Rights, Psychology, Law). At least 3 years substantial knowledge and experience in issues to do with child safety and safeguarding regulation as they apply to child spaces/settings. The incumbent must have sound knowledge in HIV Programming with particular focus on the most at risk populations. Demonstrable experience in gender, inclusion and conflict-sensitive programming, strong commitment to Child Protection and Child Safeguarding policy and also experience in developing and implementing safety and safeguarding policy, process so as to deliver high quality standards. Substantial experience of working with children in international development and humanitarian settings.
