Vacancy Notice Executive Director Organisational Background Partners for Integrated Growth and Development (pigad) is a duly registered Zimbabwean Development Trust (0000997/2014). The organization was established in 2014 and it is driven by the vision to empower communities through relief, rehabilitation and developmental programmes in both urban and rural communities. Currently, pigad is implementing an agribusiness development intervention in Mashonaland East Province with a targeted outreach of 3000 smallholder poultry farmers, producing and marketing around 90.000-100.000 eggs per day. The programme is being facilitated by Help from Germany, supported and financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). pigad also offers consultancy services in agribusiness and Farming as a Family Business trainings, research, business development, internal savings and lending schemes, and evaluations (baseline/mid/end) for livelihoods programmes. Executive Director Position pigad is looking for a self-motivated, committed, mature and qualified individual to fill in the position of Executive Director. The incumbent will be the face of the organization, responsible for giving proper strategic direction and implementing pigad’s vision through involvement in the prospective development of the organization on limited Level of Effort (LOE) basis for a fixed duration. The incumbent should possess experience in organization development and be able to steer the organization forward through putting strategies and systems in place. Main Roles and Responsibilities Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director shall be responsible for: 1. Board Governance: Works with board in order to fulfill the organization mission, responsible for: • Leading pigad in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board. • Communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions. 2. Financial Performance and Viability: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization through: • Fundraising and developing various revenue streams necessary to support pigad’s mission. • Ensuring fiscal integrity of pigad, to include submission to the Board of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial position of the organization. • Ensuring that all operations are within the approved budget, ensuring optimum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position. 3. Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach. These will include: • Implementation of pigad’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission. • Strategic planning to ensure that pigad can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future. • Enhancing pigad’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations. • Provide advice on strategic policy guidance and direction to pigad Board in order to meet the dynamics in the prevailing operating environment 4. Organization Operations: Oversees and implements appropriate resource mobilization and deployment strategies to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriately covered. These will include: • Hiring and retention of competent, qualified personnel. • Ensuring effective administration of pigad operations. • Signing all internal and external notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization. Professional knowledge, experience, skills and qualification • A Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business, Finance or in a related field. • MBA is an added advantage • Experience with NGO operations and fundraising. • Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques • An analytical mind capable for “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems
