Program Summary

The International Medical Corps is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for short-term enumerator positions to complete survey-based work in Tsholotsho, Lupane, Binga, Nkayi and Hwange District . International Medical Corps (IMC) is the technical lead for the health and nutrition component of the five-year (2020-2025) Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA)-led Amalima Loko Resilience Food Security Assistance program, funded by the USAID Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance. The Amalima Loko program was designed to improve food security in Zimbabwe through increased food access and sustainable watershed management. Amalima Loko builds on the legacy of its predecessor Amalima, a seven-year Development Food Security Activity also implemented by CNFA and its partners which worked to improve food security, nutrition and sustainability for vulnerable Zimbabwean households. The program seeks to elevate the livelihoods of more than 67,000 vulnerable households across five districts of Zimbabwe’s Matabeleland North province, namely Tsholotsho, Nkayi, Lupane, Binga and Hwange districts.


Position summary

Reporting to the Health and Nutrition Lead, the enumerator will work closely with the Research team that include Health and Nutrition Coordinators and Officers and District Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officers.T he enumerators will conduct face-to-face interviews with targeted sample groups in targeted wards and health facilities.


Qualifications, experience and skills

The minimum qualifications required for the jobholder include: Passed at least 5 ‘O’ Level subjects (including English) with symbol C or better; Willingness to work in remote rural areas; Ability to work with minimal supervision individually or as part of a team; Must be deadline-oriented and have excellent attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal skills; and Facilitation skills; Ability to speak, read and write local languages; Previous enumeration experience is an added advantage.
