Rural Electrification Fund

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts within the Rural Electrification Fund. Applicants should submit an application letter accompanied by a detailed Curriculum vitae and certified academic and professional certificates

Vacancy: Engineer – Planning (1 Post) – Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares Departmental and corporate business plans
• Carries out rural energy surveys and demand forecasts
• Prepares grid and off grid system long term development plans
• Develops load forecasting and power system modelling for near , medium and long term transmission and distribution network plans
• Sets up and maintains a centre of information and excellence on rural energy
• Monitors the effectiveness of corporate plans and recommend planning criteria enhancements

Qualification and Experience

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 6 years relevant experience four of which shall be post graduate training
• Clean Class 4 Drivers licence
• SAP experience is an added advantage
• Membership of an engineering institute with a practising licence is a must
