Electronic Surveillance Officer (Grade C1)
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Control
Officer.
Basic Function
Prevents and minimizes losses to TelOne through the
use of electronic surveillance systems; media scanning,
collecting, and reporting on issues related to TelOne.
Major Activities of the Job
•Carries out infrastructure security surveys to determine
electronic security surveillance system requirements
and present findings and recommendations for
implementation.
•Monitors and assess performance of electronic security
systems in TelOne.
•Review CCTV footage in suspected cases of losses of
revenue, movable property and/or security breaches
perpetrated against TelOne.
•Establishes and maintain regular contact with
management of SBU’s in the respective region on issues
relating to electronic surveillance systems that affect
the sound performance of such systems.
•Trains and utilize Loss Controllers and Loss Control
Assistants in the use and monitoring of electronic
surveillance systems.
•Continuously monitor work output by subordinate
staff, identify any skills gaps and recommend requisite
remedial action.
•Provides an advisory and consultative role to stakeholders
on issues relating to electronic security.
•Complete other related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
•A Diploma/Degree in Security Risk Management/
Computer Science /Electronics Engineering /Electrical
Engineering /Telecommunications/Information
Systems or
•City and Guilds Full FTC/FTD
•3 years Investigations experience in a recognized
security organization.
Competencies
•High level of integrity and professionalism.
•Strong inter-personal and team building skills.
•Excellent communication, organization and presentation
skills.
•Good knowledge of ICT and CCTV systems.
