Consultancy to conduct End of Project Evaluation for a project named - Transforming and Strengthening Agricultural Extension Services on Agroecology in Zimbabwe (TSASAZ): Fambidzanai Permaculture Training Centre (FPTC)

Scope and Purpose of End of Project Evaluation

The purpose of the end of project evaluation is to make an overall independent assessment of the successes, challenges, failures and lessons learnt from the Transforming and Strengthening Agricultural Extension Services on Agroecology in Zimbabwe (TSASAZ 11) project in Chimanimani district of Manicaland Province, Marondera district of Mashonaland East Province and Bikita District of Masvingo Province. The end of project evaluation is mainly guided by the project objectives and indicators as outlined in the respective project documents ending July 2021. FPC and its partners envisage use of the end of project evaluation in informing design and implementation of similar future intervention learning from the challenges and learning areas from this project. The results will be useful in decision making on the need for continuous funding and investment in such a project or other similar interventions by FPC, its partners and the government of Zimbabwe. Results of this evaluation should be a springboard and basis upon which evidence of the application of agroecology can be drawn to influence governments to position on the need for similar intervention and recommendations thereof will be useful to policymakers and other stakeholders. The end of project evaluation should incorporate secondary data review, household interviews, key informant interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and observations. The evaluation information will be collected, analyzed and the report to be produced in English will be shared with Fambidzanai and its partners for validation and approval before its finalization.
