STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE OFFICE

CLERK (1 POST)

Applicants should fulfil the below requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes at grade C or better including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Should be computer literate
  • He/She should have experience in housing maintenance or Construction Engineering
  • A relevant Diploma/Certificate and drivers license will be an added advantage.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the maintenance and repair of staff housing units.
  • Monthly checking and updating of the rent deduction list for staff in University staff housing units.
  • Accompanying new tenants to allocated housing units.
  • Inventory check of housing units on allocation and vacation of units by tenants.
  • Meter readings of electricity and water, calculating and submitting to Staff Development and Welfare Officer.
  • Liaising with service providers i.e ZESA and City of Harare regarding utility bills for staff in housing units.
  • Dispatching of Staff Development and Welfare Office documents to various Faculties and Departments.
  • Record keeping of materials for the repairs and maintenance of staff housing units.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Staff Development and Welfare Officer
