he Pink Economy Initiative is an entrepreneurship development and support project focusing on the young LGBTQIA+ community in Zimbabwe. The Pink Economy provides an opportunity for the young LGBTQIA+ community to become leaders in their lives and within their communities, and to equip them with skills that foster economic growth through entrepreneurship and advocacy for inclusion into the mainstream economy. Interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria: Be a member of the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual) community; Must be between the ages of 18-35; Ability to read and write; Possess the potential and ability to start a business or grow an existing start-up enterprise; Willingness to commit to a 12-month training program; Must be based in Harare Benefits LGBTQIA+ youths will be equipped with skills such as leadership and business management, and ongoing support for sustainable entrepreneurship. Access to safe working spaces, resources and support services, where you can utilize skills gained. Facilitation of economic independence and sustainability themselves through a support system involving mentorship. Participation in a sustainable LGBTQIA+ business network which will enhance the knowledge, opportunities and business growth. Note: The Pink Economy Initiative provides access to skills, tools and support and does not fund enterprises
