ERG Africa invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Auto Electrician position. This position is based in Zimbabwe.
The purpose of the Auto Electrician will be to carry out routine electrical works including vehicle preparation and the fitting of electronic equipment to standard defined by the Motor Vehicle Retail and Repair Industry with the minimum of supervision at any county Transport Workshop or site.

Functional Responsibilities
Maintenance and repair of varied electrical systems on a diverse range, heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles.
Overhaul of various starter motors and alternators on a diverse range of plant equipment, heavy vehicles and passenger vehicles.
Battery storage, handling and maintenance.
Electronic circuit board diagnosis and repair.
Stock control of the electrical service section.
Electrical schematic plan modifications.
Ensuring the safe working environment of the auto electrical work area
Manage requisition for parts and equipment as necessary.
To liaise with manufacturers OEM and/or agents.
Comply with HR and company policies and procedures as well as legislation and current labour agreements.
Stakeholder Management
Liaising and working with the stores and others departments as team.
Qualifications & Experience
State Diploma in Auto Electrician
5 years’ experience in auto electrician trade
Excellent skills in the trade.
Use of testing equipment to diagnose equipment breakdowns as required.
Self-Starter and self-motivated person.
Handle the require pressure from the process.
Hard and committed worker.
Able to work in multi-cultural environment.
Good communication skills in English skills would be an asset.
