Description :
Duties and Responsibilities Assisting the Electrician in repair and maintenance of all buildings and electrical installations for the University. Assisting the Electrician in maintaining motors and electrical connections for pumps switchboards and control panels and carry out periodic checks to ensure that these remain functional. Assisting the Electrician in repairing electrical gadgets like heaters, stoves, tea urns, fans and light points. Taking electricity meter readings for all metered installations of the University. Cutting down trees and bushes underneath the overhead lines. Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the Director Projects and Maintenance
Work/Educational Requirements
3 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics/Science. Experience as a semi-skilled electrical assistant is an added advantage. At least one (1) year as semi-skilled electrical assistant doing repairs and maintenance.
