Desired Qualifications and Attributes

 A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or any community

development related degree.

 A Master’s degree in any of the above will be an added advantage.

 Experience in working with young adults at tertiary education institutions. Duties and Responsibilities

 Providing appropriate support to students participating in community development;  Monitoring and supervision of student association and club activities to ensure they

remain active and achieve their goals;

 Maintaining an up to date register of all active Student Cohorts, associations and clubs

at UZ;

 Maintaining a diary of Student Association and club activities and produce reports;

 Servicing meetings of the Life Skills Support Centre;

 Managing schedules and records of students embarking on community service projects;

 Creating synergies between the UZ student associations and clubs and University

stakeholders;

 Implementing social moulding programmes such as clean up campaigns and hosting of

the Student Motivational Forum;

 Carrying out any other duties as delegated by the Dean of Students.
