Accountant Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for working collaboratively with the Directors. The Accountant is responsible for full charge book keeping, including maintaining company financial records, monthly billing, reports for review by the management team. The Accountant needs to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and multi task to ensure work is completed timely.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Full charge book keeping including all month and year end journal entries
• Preparing accounts and tax returns
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
• Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
• Keeping record of all company assets purchased and in use. Updates records when assets are removed and no longer in use.
• Responsible for follow up phone calls emails and letters to track billing records.
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis.
• Analysing accounts and business plans.
Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal skills including good communication skills, active listening.
• Be detail oriented, organized and accurate.
• Technical knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher with knowledge and experience in Bookkeeping and Accounting principle.
• CIS Preferred
