Nutrition Action Zimbabwe a local based NGO in partnership with Action Contre-la Faim is seeking to recruit for the following vacancies to support implementation of an emergency program in Chiredzi, Mwenezi and Mutare Rural

Job summary
The District Program Coordinator is responsible for the support and implementation of project activities in line with NAZ protocols and as enshrined in project documents at district level.
Main Duties
Ensure project team implements program activities as defined in the project document: The District Program Coordinator will work closely with relevant government departments at district level in the Implementation of the Program; Ensure collaboration with key partners in project activities and/or training in line with program plans; Ensure effective and cohesive implementation of nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific interventions and reporting from community level to district level. Organize all relevant trainings for stakeholders and beneficiaries in nutrition and food security activities as per program documents ; Ensure promotion of strong linkages between the program and other existing programs and facilitate coordination with authorities for all activities (share information, assist as needed and feasible for NAZ); Participate in meetings related to program activities as necessary for NAZ representation and coordination with partners Conduct field visits regularly to check progress, provide recommendations to teams etc; Conduct activities as requested by the H&N manager and FSL manager; Good working relations between NAZ, local authorities & other actors at district and provincial level
Ensure routine reporting of Program activities
Activities: Coordinate weekly/ monthly base meetings; Compile monthly reports (narrative and quantitative) to be submitted to Program Manager by the 4th of the following month; Compile draft quarterly & final reports to be submitted to Program Manager; Coordinate program implementation and ensure effective use of the resources; Ensure that activity and training reports are compiled; Compile statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities; Analyze nutrition and food security situation and prevailing trends and provide constructive written feedback; Participate during program assessments as may be determined by the program manager; Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility.
Ensure routine HR activities related to program management: Support program staff on key nutrition aspects related to the job; Participate in annual training plan of NAZ staff in collaboration with Admin and Compliance dept.; Supervise ward officer daily work. Support current and future needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital; Nurture a positive working environment
Ensure routine financial activities related to program management: Contribute to submitting timely monthly treasury forecast and budget follow-up to Finance; Prepare and Submit timely financial requisitions to facilitate uninterrupted execution of duties; Compilation of district Budget Follow up in line with Annual Progress Report activities in liaison with the Program Manager; Conduct timely budget monitoring to ensure compliance; Ensure compliance of financial and admin procedures by program team including drivers
Ensure routine Logistics and IT activities related to program management: Submit timely transport / accommodation request; Ensure IT and Logistics procedures are respected by all program staff including drivers – specific attention to scanning of computers to avoid viruses + regular backup of program documents ; Submit timely Procurement requests etc. as necessary for program implementation to Admin department; Check regularly Stock Follow Up for nutrition procurement lines and answer questions as necessary to allow for admin log to proceed. Ensure good management and usage of equipment at base level including fleet management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Degree/ in Nutrition/Public Health/Agriculture/Development Studies ;Experience in working with Food and Nutrition Security Committees ;Experience in representation and stakeholder coordination; Experience in the implementation of the care group model for promotion of optimal IYCF practices; Should be able to work with minimal supervision; Should be computer literate (Microsoft word and excel, internet); Ability to work in a remote area; 3 driver’s license is an added advantage.
