Job purpose


The Programs Graduate Interns will be responsible for mobilizing communities for COVID-19 Vaccination.


Key responsibilities


Work closely with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) at the district level to arrange for COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) activities (Van Messaging, Community Based Messaging) at, village, ward and district levels; Mobilize communities including women and the vulnerable (children -12+years old, the disabled, those with comorbidities, the elderly) and special groups (cross border traders,

and artisanal miners) to ensure they voluntarily accept COVID-19 vaccination; Assist MoHCC (Ministry of Health and Child Care) in drawing vaccination outreach activities in hard to reach areas; Engages and liaises with stakeholders (Ministry of Health and Child Care) to support the

project towards achievement of project goals and outcomes; Establishes good working relations with project staff, beneficiaries, families, community leadership, staff, and volunteer health workers/promoters (CBOs), government extension staff and other stakeholders at village, ward and district levels; Participates in stakeholder meetings and networks at village, ward and district levels; Creates community awareness on COVID-19 risks; Promotes integration of project and program processes at field level; Promotes child rights-based programming at field level.


Entry qualifications and experience


Recent Graduate with a Degree in Health Education and Promotion or equivalent; Working knowledge of Ministry of Health and Child Care structures; Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows/Office environment; Self-starter.
