Part Time Driver (on assignment basis): Coordinamento delle Organizzazioni per il Servizio Volontario (COSV) Deadline: 24 January 2020 (1pm) COSV is an International NGO, founded in 1968, engaged in development and humanitarian aid interventions in Europe, Balkans, Southern Africa and Middle East. In collaboration with local partners, we operate for development and environment protection, through inclusive paths built on partnership and networking approach. We encourage the active participation of women and men, for a social and economic development, also through the creation of job opportunities. Inspired by a culture of cooperation, we work with communities and CSOs, building strong relations, for a long-lasting impact, sharing with them principles, values and methodologies. In consortium with local and international entities, COSV is one of the implementing partners of the VALUE project, funded within the EU programme ZAGP. The project aims at improving production and productivity of the livestock value chain, with a strong focus on commercialization of products and market linkages, in 12 Districts of Zimbabwe. Position Summary COSV is looking for a part-time driver (on assignment/mission basis). A pool of qualified drivers will be created. Starting date: 29 January 2020. Job Description The candidate is expected to: Drive the project/COSV vehicles to the project locations as required; Run general up keeping of the project vehicles and equipment; keep the project vehicles clean; fill out and check the log sheets and mileage of the vehicles; report any mechanical problem; plan and inform the supervisor about necessary car services; any other duties as and when required by the Project Manager/Coordinator. Qualifications Essential: at least 7 years’ experience in development cooperation, with verifiable references by INGOs; languages: first class communication skills in English and one local language of Zimbabwe; clean class 4 Driving license with at least 7 years driving experience, defensive driving certificate and health certificate. Previous experience with COSV will be highly considered.
