Registered in Zimbabwe under the PVO Act, certificate number 6/2002, CRS has been supporting program activities in Zimbabwe since 1989 and has long-standing relationships with Church and non-Church partners and communities throughout the country. Zimbabwe program implements projects through 14 partner organizations in 30 districts in the areas of health, OVC, education, food security and agricultural livelihoods, and peacebuilding. CRS seeks to fill in the following position that has arisen.

Job summary

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with the receiving, sorting, labeling, recording and archiving CRS/Zimbabwe all incoming records/documents due for archiving as per CRS Records Management policy. Under the supervision of the Archivist, the incumbents will also assist with the setting aside of records that are due for disposal as per the Records Management Policy and producing detailed reports of all records maintained on CRS archiving facilities and all those that would have been disposed of.

Responsibilities include

Assisting in the receiving, sorting, packing, labeling, recording and archiving of all incoming records; Assisting in ensuring that all current records in the Archive room are sorted for archiving and disposal purposes; Assisting in ensuring that all records due for disposal are separated and stored ready for disposal through Waste Management Companies; Monitoring the collection of records by waste management company.

Education and Experience

At least a Diploma in Records Management, Business Studies, Administration, or any related field or studying towards the attainment of these. A minimum of 1 year of archiving experience will be an added advantage. Basic knowledge & understanding of archiving best practices and standards. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word,) preferred.
