INVESTIGATIONS OFFICERS X16 – Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission

REPORTS TO : MANAGER INVESTIGATIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receiving crime reports made to the Commission
• Investigate corruption cases, serious frauds and other mandate offences
• Allocating references to all cases received
• Maintaining docket allocation books
• Capturing data of all cases received in the electronic system
• Conducting surveillance for the detection of crime and gather intelligence on suspected cases of corruption and mandate offenses
• Attending scene of crime, gather evidence and compile dockets
• Taking accused persons to court
• Making follow up on corruption and other mandate cases before the courts
• Making entries in Departmental registers update records on cases being handled by Investigations Directorate
• Attending meetings with stakeholders on matters to do with combating corruption in consultation with the senior investigation’s officers

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

• Degree in Police or Security Studies, Forensic Audit, Financial Intelligence, Law, Tax Management or other equivalent qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an environment of crime prevention and investigations would be an added advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively at aII levels
• Ability to work under pressure
• An appreciation of various legal instruments on combating and investigating crime Interrogation and evidence gathering skills
• High level of integrity
