The Project Engineer will play a key role in providing technical guidance for the design, implementation, and certification of infrastructural projects in adherence to national and international standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Conduct detailed feasibility studies and pre-check surveys in collaboration with relevant government departments to determine the scope of work.
-Generate Bill of Quantities (BoQs), financial budgets, and technical designs for projects.
-Provide input into procurement plans, including technical specifications and delivery timelines.
-Contribute to new proposal development and offer technical guidance to project field assistants.
-Train community asset management members and staff on construction standards, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure.
-Supervise contractors and communities during project implementation.
-Monitor and review the use and movement of project hardware, resources, and assets in line with the budget.
-Facilitate collaborative progress monitoring at project sites with government technical departments and local authorities.
-Prepare completion certificates for assets and coordinate learning visits with project partner organizations.
-Compile and maintain asset registers for Non-Food Item (NFI) materials at project sites, preparing disposal plans as needed.
-Facilitate the handover of completed livelihood assets to communities and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

-Degree in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering or equivalent.
-4-6 years of experience in community projects engineering or a related field.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Exceptional planning and organizing skills.
-Excellent report writing skills.
