The Role
Geographic Information Systems Officer

The Geographic Information Systems Officer will be part of the Humanitarian team, responsible for designing and implementing suitable and scalable geographic information systems data platforms and formulation of hazard maps. Incumbent will also be responsible for map generation and hazard map generation for Matobo district. This role will be based in Matobo.

What we are looking for

  • BSc degree in Geographic Information Systems and Earth Observation/Geography, Surveying/Earth Sciences,
  • Natural Science and/or Environmental Management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Experience in hazard mapping and remote sensing
  • Prior international NGO experience will be an added advantage
  • Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence with at least 3 years driving experience
