Job Purpose Steward Bank is looking for a General Manager – Human Resources to provide strategic human resources management and guidance to the business, through developing and implementing HR strategies, systems, policies, comprehensive individual talent and organisational interventions in line with relevant human resources legislation and laws of Zimbabwe.
Qualifications and Experience • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent. • A post graduate qualification will be an added advantage . • A minimum of 8 years’ work experience in a related environment; with 4 years at management level.
Key Result Areas • Develops Steward Bank’s Human Resources Strategy and ensures that short to medium term strategic goals are cascaded throughout the business. • Analyses and forecasts human capital requirements to build the divisional annual business plan in line with the business’s strategic objectives. • Manages Steward Bank’s recruitment and selection processes to ensure that the best talent is acquired and retained. • Develops, maintains, reviews and implements effective and efficient HR systems that promote efficiencies across the business and support the overall business strategy. • Identifies and recommends to the Business reward systems and processes that attract, motivate and retain employees. • Manages the maintenance of the company’s job evaluation system to allow the proper sizing and positioning of jobs by ensuring that all new jobs are graded and existing jobs that significantly change in scope are re-graded. • Manages the effective administration of various staff benefits in line with company policy • Carries out organizational leadership analysis in order to determine the nature of future management and leadership competencies required by the business. • Reviews company business processes and organisational structures to determine their fit with best practice and business strategy and recommends to the CEO, where necessary, on re-organisation including areas to merge, separate, own-run, or outsource. • Continuously researches and recommends to the CEO the implementation of performance management systems that ensure proper alignment of performance with business objectives and strategy. • Champion the implementation of all business transformation interventions to ensure that they are implemented with minimal disruption of business operations and employee engagement levels. • Facilitates carrying out of HR related research to improve business processes • Prepares the Divisional CAPEX and OPEX budget annually.
