and Media Facilitation
Reports to : Director Media Services Station : Head Office


• Design, recommend, coordinate and manage
national awareness and other information campaigns in line with the wider government communication strategy.
Initiate, recommend and/or support processes aimed at national dialogue and two way communication between Government and various publics.
Identify, design and supervise media monitoring, information surveys and audit of ministries, government departments and the Public Sector brands to recommend and implement solutions that address specific image and communication needs.
Supervise and coordinate liaison with Ministries and government departments to meet their information and publicity needs including deployment of information officers, dressing public events, technical advice, chairing media events, production and distribution of the Government diary and information databanks.
Design, originate and supervise the production of media communication materials including publications, feature articles, newsletters, press statements, press releases and memorabilia.
 Liaise, collaborate and build partnerships with
stakeholder organizations, critical constituencies and interest groups.
Sharing pointers and content suitable for cyber communication with the Directorate Cyber Team.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of the Media Services Directorate Strategy.
A- Supervise the maintenance of an up-to-date Ministry website.
 Supervising subordinates.


Degree in Journalism/ English/ Communication/ Cultural Studies and at least two years experience in public/development communication.
A Masters degree in any of the listed fields above and/or a management qualification will be an added advantage.
Be able to translate Government policies, programmes and goals into multimedia and promotional campaigns for targeted audiences.
Be familiar with the design, development and placement of communication material for all media, including broadcast and print.
• Working knowledge of IT based media applications a must.
Have excellent planning and supervisory skills.
• Good communication skills a must.
Good interpersonal skills and networking. Ability to work under pressure.
Must be self-motivated and disciplined
Mature in any case above 25 years of age Clean class 4 drivers licence
