Key duties and Responsibilities

Content Development: Update and maintain HIZ’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook and Twitter updates; Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter; Draft, distribute and pitch media alerts and other stories; Designing flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events hosted by HIZ; Produce updates for the HIZ website when needed; Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for communications

Reporting and Documentation: In collaboration with M&E Coordinator, research, develop, and distribute communications materials such as newsletters and social media posts; Conduct on-going filing and management of files as directed; In liaison with the M&E coordinator, generate logic-based reports for management as necessary; Compile workshops and meeting reports when needed

Qualifications, skills and experience
Degree in Language and Communications, Journalism and any other related field; Working towards a Masters degree will be an added advantage; Experience curating social media content; Ability to take photographs; Editing skills; Ability to use different software (e.g. inDesign) added advantage; Knowledge in agricultural programming would be an added advantage
