Econet Wireless Zimbabwe is currently seeking a dedicated Supplier Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is to cultivate collaborative relationships with key suppliers, focusing on enhancing value, fostering innovation, leveraging synergies, and effectively managing risks. The Supplier Relationship Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of the strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) strategy, ensuring it aligns with the business and commercial objectives of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Design and implement the strategic SRM strategy to meet the business and commercial needs. -Foster continuous and meaningful engagement with both the business and suppliers to shape services and improve value from the supply chain. -Develop and lead SRM strategies with a strong emphasis on customer focus. -Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics, covering cost, delivery, service, quality, innovation, and sustainability, in collaboration with the sourcing team. -Drive supplier review meetings, focusing on performance, service improvements, quality, and processes. -Support suppliers in building and delivering continuous improvement plans and roadmaps to enhance relationships. -Ensure sustainable procurement and the supplier sustainability program comply with relevant legal, regulatory, environmental, and performance standards to minimize risk and enhance business performance. -Apply sustainable procurement processes, policies, and procedures to ensure suppliers meet required standards. -Conduct assessments of the supply chain against risk criteria to establish supplier risk profiles. -Lead and conduct potential supplier qualification audits. -Provide relevant reporting on the progress and delivery of sustainable procurement and supplier management programs. -Prepare and present supplier improvement metrics to key stakeholders to showcase the impact of the enhanced supplier engagement process.
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. -CIPS or equivalent may be an added advantage. -4 to 6 years of experience in a similar or related environment.
