Woman Behind Makamu’s Leaked Call Breaks Her Silence: She Was 17 At That Time
AmaBishop and Rea Tsotella host, Bishop Israel Makamu almost broke the internet last week with leaked voice calls of him asking for sex from one of his congregants.
The respected Church elder was immediately forced to step down from his position as a Bishop of his church and from presenting two of Moja Love’s high performing weekly programmes.
On the recorded voice call, the man of God can be heard asking for sex from a lady.
She first refuses to have sex with him, but later agrees that the two would meet on Sunday and do the deed.
All along, the woman in question wasn’t known to the media until sometime this week when the founder of Movement Against Abuse in Churches, Solomon Ashoms identified her and called her for a public interview.
The 21 year old woman whose name has been withheld was 17 years old at the time she recorded the man of God asking her for sex.
By then, she was working at Makamu’s church as a receptionist while staying in Eden Park with a friend.
She reveals that this was not the first time Makamu had asked her for a poke.
She says she was uncomfortable with it and her friend advised her to record videos and calls of the man of God as a means to stop him from pursuing him.
She told Solomon during the interview that on the said day when the calls was recorded, she had been left alone at the house she was renting with her friend.
She then narrated the incident to her father, who is also a member of Makamu’s church. But Makamu denied all this when he was approached by her furious father.

The unnamed lady, however did not reveal how the voice calls leaked in 2021 when they were actually recorded back in 2017.
