Robber Gets Robbed On Camera After Pouncing On Motorists
- Hilbrow is not safe, even for criminals themselves.
A double tragedy incident that left many in awe was recorded on camera this weekend after a robber got a taste of his own medicine as he got robbed of his loot immediately after pouncing on unsuspecting motorists.
Levels of robbery or cellphone snatching have increased in South Africa’s crime fested city of Jo’rbug.
Businesses and security organisations often times record sittings of robbery in Hilbrow streets.
One lated sitting left many cracking their ribs.
From the video, a man is seen snatching a cellphone from a taxi driver in the middle of a street.
After a few paces from the victim’s car, he faces a taste of his own medicine as he too gets robbed.
Two men, presumably armed, approached him and searched his pockets where they recovered the stollen cellphone and some of the robber’s belongings.

This goes to show how unsafe it is for everyone in Hilbrow – even for the criminals themselves.
According to some nitizens, criminals get mugged only when they cross each other’s lines.
This could be the only explanation for this incident.
The cellphone snatcher may have crossed other criminals’ territories, hence, they had to take the loot from him.
