Pact seeks a Governance and Civil Society Strengthening Advisor for an anticipated multi-donor civil society support program in Zimbabwe. This initiative will empower citizens to hold the Zimbabwean state to account for its use of resources and its respect for human rights and democratic principles, while assuring that the citizens, as duty-bearers also embody their respective civic responsibilities.

The project will support civil society organizations (CSOs) through financial, organizational development and technical assistance. The Governance and Civil Society Strengthening Advisor will provide technical guidance and support to CSOs working in democracy and governance, advocacy, media, human rights, access to justice, and public policy research. S/he will provide timely and quality technical assistance to civil society strengthening activities.
