Uzalo Gabisile Actress Baby Cele to Star In Upcoming eTV Soapie
Actress Baby Cele, who just wrapped up her role on Uzalo, is already onto a new gig and we will be seeing her again in another series.
Baby Cele, who is well known for her role as Gabisile on Uzalo, will be starring on a new eTV series, which is yet to be named.
The show will be replacing Rhythm City which will be wrapping up in July.
The Uzalo actress shared a picture on social media with former Isidingo actor ; Lindani Nkosi and revealed that they will be playing a married couple called the Nkosi’s on the new show.
“We introduce Mr and Mrs Nkosi; whom you will watch in an upcoming new show; on etv.” wrote the actress.
Last year it was announced that Baby Cele would be leaving Uzalo, in what was deemed ‘taking a break’ for an indefinite period.
According to Uzalo spoilers, Baby Cele’s character Gabisile will be killed off the show.
Gabisile will confess to to killing her stepson, Kehla and she will die the next day. It is unclear if she’s going to commit suicide or if Qhabanga is going to be the one to kill her.
The Uzalo show runners confirmed her exit saying her character will go out with a bang.
“Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe will be leaving Uzalo by the end of season six. The story has taken this direction and will give us a riveting, high-stakes ending for both characters” they said
Baby Cele confirmed her departure last year saying she was leaving Uzalo so she could focus on a new show.
The actress told fans not to worry because Gabisile will make a surprise come back on Uzalo towards the end of the year, so all is not lost.
